Southern Ontario

Welcome to beautiful Southern Ontario - a place of unspoilt woodlands, sandy beaches, quaint villages and vibrant cities!

Southern Ontario extends from the city of Windsor in the south-west, to beautiful Niagara Falls, north to Barrie and south as far as Oshawa.

Within this area you will find much of interest and many things to see and do, from the quaint historic village of St Jacobs where there is a wonderful Farmers' Market each week, the Quaker village of Sparta and pretty Bayfield on the coast of Lake Huron, to the bustling cities of Windsor with it's Multi-Cultural flavour, London which is home of the University of Western Ontario and Brantford which is famous as the hometown of the great Hockey Player, Wayne Gretzky.  Close to Brantford is pretty Paris which sits on the banks of the Grand River.

Pelee Island is a jewel in the waters of Lake Erie and is the most southerly point in all of Canada, Point Pelee is a famous wildife preserve, and is well worth visiting, especially during the Spring Warbler migration.

The city of Stratford is famous for its Shakespeare Festival which is held annually, and close by is the town of St Marys which is one of my favourite places to visit.

For those considering a Winter Vacation in Southern Ontario, the town of Collingwood is always popular, as there is much to do, including skiing the hills at Blue Mountain, and in the summer time, there is even more!

All this, and much more, is to be seen in beautiful Southern Ontario!
